After a four-year stretch using the Adidas 18 kits, Bundesliga referees switch over to the 2022 set. They opt to stick with the four main colours, passing over the purple option.
After 18 years appearing on the kits of German referees, DEKRA is replaced as the sleeve sponsor by Das Örtliche.
In switching to the Adidas 18 kits, Bundesliga referees continue with black socks for all shirt colours, and with Adidas not releasing new kits in 2020, officials would wear identical kits for three seasons running. Similar to 2014, the green jersey option is not used in Germany.
Although coloured socks are available for the first time, Bundesliga officials continue to wear black socks with the new Adidas 16 kits.
German officials stick with navy, blue, red, and yellow as their colour options when the Adidas 14 line came out, despite a green version being available.
The DEKRA logo is re-shifted down the sleeve a little bit on the new Adidas 12 kits.
The DEKRA logo is shifted further up the sleeve as the Adidas 10 line is adopted.
