A year after UEFA’s adoption of Macron’s updated kits, Spanish referees make the switch over as well.

The RFEF, the Spanish federation, undergoes a brand refresh – the new (and drastically simplified) badge now appears on all referee shirts, with FIFA-carded officials shifting that badge to the right chest pocket.

Macron replaces Adidas as La Liga’s referee kit supplier, with officials outfitted in the same kits originally seen on UEFA Champions League referees.

All five of Adidas’ 2018 offerings are used in Spain, with matching socks retained as well.

Coloured socks are adopted with the Adidas 16 line of kits, and the Würth logo is rotated vertically, appearing now as a wordmark.

La Liga is one of a minority of Adidas’ contracts that does use the green 2014 kit when it’s released — as one of their main options, no less — opting to pass on the blue shirt instead.

The Würth logo is slightly modified on the sleeves when the Adidas 12 kits are adopted, while the white outline around the RFEF badge disappears.

Spanish officials begin wearing the Adidas 10 line following the World Cup won by their countrymen.
